Grey was working at his desk when Fox stormed into his office. The detective raised up a case folder as he moved closer to the desk. "Is this some sort of joke?" he asked, gesturing at the folder. "Am I actually expected to investigate this stuff?"
Grey twitched one ear back, narrowing his eyes. "What on earth are you talking about, Fox?" he questioned.
Fox slammed the folder down in front of his former-boss-now-associate. He pointed one claw at the folder. "This. This load of crap." He pressed one finger down on the folder and pushed it closer to Grey.
The gray fox picked up the folder and examined it for a few moments. "It's your newest case. So what?"
"So what?" Fox rolled his eyes. "It's utter nonsense. It looks like something out of a tabloid newspaper article!"
Grey cocked an eyebrow before opening up the folder to see exactly what the young detective was so angry about. To his surprise, the files within had been replaced with a few stories and notes about a person who claimed to have traveled through time. "Fox... These files aren't the ones that were sent out to you."
The detective sat down, huffing softly. "And here I thought you were pulling a practical joke on me," he said. "I mean, I like sci-fi an' all, but I don't actually believe in time travel or anything."
"The question is, who did send this?" Grey continued, as if Fox hadn't said a word.
"It might be worth investigating," said Fox.

Detective Fox becomes angry after receiving a new case from his former workplace that seems like utter nonsense. Could this be a good intro to another Detective Fox story?
I wrote this as practice for dynamics in about 15 minutes, so it was nothing too fancy or well thought-out. I plan on posting more vignettes like this, hence the number "1". : P
Speaking of numbers, remember the Hound's message in his hack? It says "Hacked Fox Run". It's written in a code I created called "Cipher Latrans". This is part of another storyline that I may also introduce in a later book.
